Ms. Berquist has taught English, History, Cross Cultural Training, and Religious Studies at a variety of schools and institutions, including Penn State University, Central Washington University, El Centro-Cultural Costarricense/Norteamericano in Costa Rica, and Gulf Coast State College. SHe has been trained in Advanced Placement institutes to teach both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition.  She is most interested historical speeches and writings about justice and equality in the United State of America, in the plays of William Shakespeare, and in the poetry of Yeats, Frost, and Blake.


Ms. Berquist has lived in the following states:  New Jersery, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Florida.  In addition, she lived and taught for 2 years in San Jose, Costa Rica.   Her interests include writing, reading, playing the piano, and volunteering in her church and at the Chipola College Theatre. Ms. Berquist has 2 daughters (Joy and Gracie), an adopted daughter in Russia (Dasha),  5 cats (Larry, Shirley, Tiger, Bean, and Zaitseva),  and a huskador named Muggle.
