I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.  Hi, I'm Anna, and this is Dawg Bytes for Friday August 24th.  Do you like trivia?  Have you ever had fun when playing a game about knowledge?  If you have these interests, please come and give the academic team a try.  We meet every Wednesday from 3 to 5, in Mrs. Kolmetz's room, D112.

Have you ever thought about acting?  Drama Club could be the choice for you.  Right now students are going to be trying out roles for the first play that will be in December.  It is a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater production.  Worried that acting is not for you? No problem! You can come and help backstage. Theatre Club could always use stagehands. If you're interested go and give it a try. They meet every Monday from 3 to 5, in Ms. Kolmetz's room D-112.  The first meeting is August 27th. Soccer is getting kicked off! Tryouts are October 22nd. See Mr. Gable or Ms. LaBelle for more info.

Is math making your life hard?  Need some help? Tutoring is being held in the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. 
More than half of all bullying situations, 57%, stop when a someone intervenes on behalf of the student being bullied.  Make your words kind and make them count.

My name is Lindsy Ramin, and I'm the executive president of SGA. Elected members of SGA not only help represent the student body to faculty it administration, we also help plan and organize all the activities and events here at Marianna High School, like homecoming.  We just want to make yours the best student experience at Marianna High School. I highly encourage you to use your voice and vote in the upcoming election on September 7th.  When you're voting for SGA, I encourage you to vote for someone that's hard-working, and organized.  It shouldn't be a popularity contest.  It should be the person that's going to do the best job to help represent your class.

We love to have ya'll at FCA. We meet in the library on Wednesdays at 7:15.

We've got some exciting things going on this week.  I want to congratulation you all on an outstanding week. I want to reward you. Keep doing the things that you you've been doing. I think we're off to a great start, and we've got some exciting things coming up. We kicked off our football season last week with a come from behind win over Arnold.  Our volleyball team, cross country team, have also started.  We need you at the game, because there's nothing like going to a ball game where the student body is participating.  This Friday we are going go have a Bulldog Walk, a mini pep rally. I want the football team, the cheerleaders, the volleyball team, and the band  to meet outside of FHall at 2:30. Teachers, we are going to release our students to walk outside the classroom, and I want you to be out there. We are going to be playing the fight song. The cheerleaders are going to be cheering. This is a way to show your appreciation.  We will figure some things out as we go, but we are going to have some school spirit.  We don't need to have an all day thing--in 10 minutes we can do it before the bell rings. But I need your participation. I need you to to get excited.

Also, we're going to have a teacher of the month. Now you know I've sent out an email to each one of you for you to nominate a teacher of the month make sure you go to your JWAY and click on  Office356 to check your outlook-- check your email.  Whatever teacher that you want that just made an impact this week  you will submit. Choose a teacher that made an impact.   Then we'll tabulate. Then we'll let you know.  We also recognize our teachers at a great job that work hard. So, you know, not only do we want to reward you, but we want a reward our teachers that do a great job of trying to get you prepared. Again, all of us together at Marianna High School are making a difference. I need you to do the things that you need to do to keep us an A.  So we're going to work hard.
