Every Wednesday, teachers volunteer help in the library for all Marianna High School students.  Last Wednesday 33 students stayed for help.

Please practice writing the following essays before Wednesday so that Law and Braxton can go over the essays and help you improve.

Essays:
1.  Writing Situation: Your school has been awarded 300,000         dollars to spend either on a weight room or on books for the library.  Think about how you think the money should be spent.
     Writing Directions: Write to convince the school board to spend the money the way you think that it should be spent.

2.  Writing Situation: Your school's principal is trying to come up with ways to encourage students to behave in a positive manner.  
Think about how you would encourage students to behave in a positive manner.
     Directions for Writing:  Write to explain the ways in which you would encourage students to behave in a positive manner while in school.
