Mrs. Brock’s Classroom Policies

2006 – 2007 School Year

1.             Follow THE STUDENT HANDBOOK.

2.             RESPECT others at all times. Do not talk when someone else is talking.

3.             BE PREPARED. You are required to have the following with you everyday:

Pen & Pencil

Folder

Notebook paper

Other items may be requested on an as needed basis

4.             Be seated in your assigned seat before the tardy bell rings and immediately start your assignment for the day. You are expected to STAY IN YOUR SEAT during class unless directed otherwise by your instructor. If you need to use the restroom, go to your locker, sharpen your pencil, throw away trash, etc., these things should be done before or after class.

5.             DO NOT TOUCH THE EQUIPMENT in this room without prior permission from your instructor. This includes the teacher desk area and the Academy equipment.

6.             MAKE UP WORK IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITY (refer to the student handbook). Please contact me as soon as you return to school to make arrangements. The maximum length of time allowed for makeup work on excused absences is one day for everyday you are out. All missed work will be entered as a Z (working zero) in the grade book until it has been completed regardless of the reason for your absence. If it is not completed by your make up due date then your final grade will be a 0 (zero) for that assignment.

7.             CHEATING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED and will result in a grade of zero and a call to your parent or guardian.

8.             All assignments should have your name, date, subject, and class period in the upper right hand corner.  An automatic 5 point deduction will be taken if all information is not included. If I am unable to determine whose assignment it is you will receive a zero.

I plan to treat all of you with respect and kindness. I expect the same in return.  I will not allow disruptive students to interfere with the opportunity for learning in my classroom. Your failure to adhere to the above policies will result in disciplinary action.
