Classroom Policies 2008 – 2009

· All rules in the Marianna High School handbook will be enforced.
· Come to class prepared.
o Bring all materials and textbook to class each day
o Have a good attitude and be ready to learn
· You are expected to be in your seat and ready to begin when the tardy bell rings.
· Listen carefully to class instructions the first time they are given.
· All assignments are to be turned in when due. If they are late then it will be 20 points off. Work will not be accepted after the test has been given on the chapter. If you are absent on the day the assignment is due, you are expected to turn it in on the day that you return to class. If you fail to turn in the assignment then you will receive a zero.
· It is your responsibility as the student to get your make up work when you return from your excused absence. If you miss a test, you will need to schedule a time to take it before or after school. If your absence is unexcused then you will not be permitted to make up the work and you will receive a zero.
· Be respectful!
· You are expected to actively participate in classroom activities, note taking and discussions.
· You are expected to leave your area neat and in order when you leave the classroom.
· You are expected to remain in your seat until class is dismissed.
· You are expected to go to the restroom, get water, and take care of other matters between classes and will not be excused from class to do so unless it is an emergency.
