Classroom Policies

1. Each student should bring their own materials to class each day. Each student will need a small three-ring notebook for THIS CLASS ONLY, pens, pencils, lined loose-leaf paper, and several colors  of highlighters.

 2. Be present and on time for the most effective learning.

 3. No eating in class unless I give you a candy bar. You may have bottled water ONLY in the classroom.

 4. Tests, essays, and recitations count 50% of your grade. Quizzes, and projects count for 30% of your    grade.    Homework and daily class work counts as 20% of your grade. Assignments not turned in on time may earn a zero grade or receive one letter grade penalty for each day late.

Review the class rules handout that is kept in your notebook. Remember that "A" work is excellent work. "B" work is above average. "C" work is average. "D" work is below average. "F" work is unacceptable.
