Lincoln-Douglas:

This is a debate where one person argues against another.   The debaters use philosophy and research to make their points.

Student Congress:

Students will make and pass bills in a mock congress.  Students will need to know parliamentary procedure.

Policy Debate:

Similar to LD, this debate focuses on policy.

International Extempt:

Students will have to keep case files throughout the year in which they collect information to make a speech.

Oral Interpretation:

Includes prose and poetry.  Students will have to create an introduction for both.

Dramatic/Humerous Interpretation:

Is ten minutes of dramatic/ humourous interpretation where a student may act as many characters.

Declamation:

Students will memorize a speech written by another person.
