If you cannot reach me by phone, know that I am always available via email and prefer written communication. This will ensure I can accurately remember and address your specific needs and concerns as quickly as possible.

Students, please remember that we schedule rehearsals for the band, not practices. Practice time is time to learn your notes, rhythms, etc., and it's something you should do on your own. If you need help with these things, Mr. Martin and your section leaders are always available and willing to help, but rehearsal time is for the band as a whole to work on tone, blend, phrasing, and overall musicality. Rehearsal is the time where we put your practice into action as an ensemble.
Please make sure to come to each rehearsal prepared; that means being confident on your part. As mentioned before, if you need help learning notes, rhythms, etc., Mr. Martin and your section leaders are available and willing to help you outside of rehearsal time.

The MHS Band Boosters need BUS DRIVERS, and not just to go to away football games! We have year-round events, sometimes two or three times a month, where we have to 'move the band,' and volunteers willing to help the band are desperately needed! If you are a band parent, or a band supporter, and are willing to go through with training through the Jackson County Schools Transportation Department to get your CDL (Commercial Drivers License), please contact us.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP FROM THE REAR OF THE SCHOOL (near the band room) AFTER REHEARSALS. No students will be allowed to wait out front.

1st Payment: $170, due May 1.
2nd Payment: $170, due June 1.
3rd Payment: $100, due July 1.
4th Payment: $100, due August 1.
